I have recently (less than an hour back!) discovered Manic Time. I do not want to install any software on my corporate machine. At the same time, I want to track time spent on productive and non-productive work. Hence, I intend to use Manic-Time USB (portable) version since this does not involve installing any software on my machine.

What I gather from your website is that I can unzip the files in a single directory on my laptop. For portability, I simply copy that directory on a different machine. However, I have the following couple of questions:
1. Can I really use portable version off a USB?
2. If yes, what would happen if I disconnect USB while MT is still running?

Thanks for this wonderful software!

1. I tried it a few times and it worked for me. We don't have extensive experience with this, I guess its best if you try it.
2. In theory it should work ok. You could end up with corrupted database. We never managed to corrupt one, but some users had a lot of problems with this so it could be related with specific hardware, installed software...
