OK, so this is likely a stupid question, but I accidentally unchecked the "Show this window whenever away time ends" checkbox and now I can't get it to come back. I've looked everywhere in the UI that I can find, but nothing seemed to do the trick. Is there a way to fix this?

As for an enhancement, I'd suggest making those prefs less hierarchical. A flatter format with individual headers would be a lot clearer and be easier to scan.
