It seems like the more months I use ManicTime, the more time it takes for ManicTime.exe to open and show it's window. It's OK now, but I wonder how it's going to be after a couple years.

I'm assuming the slight slowdown is because it needs to read the entire database. If that is true, perhaps an option to trim & archive old data would be helpful.

The size of the database shouldn't slow down MT.

You can test this. Check this page to locate the database
http://www.manictime.com...3/1/where-is-data-stored

Then close MT, make a copy of ManicTime.sdf and delete it in this folder.
When you start MT, new empty database will be created. If you are correct then it should work faster with an empty database.

Let me know what you find out.

You are correct!
Your test shows that My 12MB database does not slow down MT at all.
