I never had this problem before,
but beta 2.0.0.6 seems to have trouble recovering from sleep mode.
Mine is a Win7-64bit PC, which is configured to fall asleep after some time of idleness. (this is Sleep-mode, not Stand-by mode)
When the PC is awake again and all other apps are perfectly accesssible, a double-click on the MT tray-icon does not bring me the MT main window. There is some activity of the harddrive, but now results.
I've done some fiddling with SystemExplorer and found that restarting ManicTime.exe does not help much. Restarting ManicTimeClient.exe however, does give me back my MT window. Maybe this helps in finding the solution before the final release ov MT2.
Cheers,
Stephan

Based on your description I'd say that MT and client loose communication with each other. When you click the icon, tracker sends a Show request to the client. When client doesn't answer it tries to start a new client instance, but because the client is already running nothing happens.

Short term solution is to uncheck Keep UI running after main window closes (Settings). This closes the client every time you exit UI, so it should work.
Or when this happens just end ManicTimeClient process and click on the icon again.

We will try to figure out what is going on and fix it for the final release. Thanks for letting us know.

Unfortunately, the problem is not consistent.
I had the option "Keep UI running after main window closes" enabled.
(Did we have this option before, or is it new in this version?)
Got that switched off now. Let's see how things go.

Its an old option, designed mostly to keep memory usage down. It will unload UI (ManicTimeClient) each time you exit UI. Down side is that it will also take some time to load again when you click the icon.
