I would like to do a search & replace on tag names.

For example:
After using ManicTime for a few months, I have come up with a better naming system. Now I want to locate all tags named "client Tom" and change them to "project www.tommy.com". It is very difficult to find specific tags like this.

Tag editor is on our todo list, I hope we will get to it soon.

There is a workaround which you can use but it is not very straight forward.

Click on Tag timeline
Then right click on one of the tags in the summary part (bottom right)
You will see a rename command, if you rename a tag here, it will be renamed anywhere it was used. For example lets say these are my tags:

Project 1, Design
Project 1, Meeting

Now I want to rename 'Project 1' to 'ManicTime'

I have to go to one day where I used a tag with Project 1 in it or I just select some time and tag 'Project 1'.
Then I select tag timeline, right click on Project 1, click Rename and type 'ManicTime'.

Project 1 will now be renamed to ManicTime in all instances where it was used.

Hope this helps.

I wasn't aware that global rename command operated globally. Perfect! That does exactly what I needed. Thanks!!
