Hi
I can see in the standard day view, detailed minute by minute Descriptions of the FireFox sites I am browsing

eg CNN for 10 minutes, then onto the BBC for 5 minutes etc

What I am trying to do, is perform an analysis, over (say) a 1 month period, of

1) Not Just the monthly use of firefox
But

2) The Time spent on Firefox, broken down by specific website -

The data is clearly 'in the system

Just wondering how I can analyse it

Also - If this is a function of the Pro version, but no the Free version, I would be happy to know this

Regards

PS:
If I need to export to Excel, that would be fine and I could use filtering for 'words' such as BBC, CNN etc

Also - If I can attach any jpegs/screenshots to help explain, please let me know

There is currently no way to do this. Timelines are more or less independent so there is nothing linking them except time.

You could do something similar on the today view, but not statistics.
On today view you can click App timeline, then make a filter like "group:firefox"
Then select all hits to make a selection and click on the lock icon of Documents timeline (if you click on lock icon it keeps the selection). Then if you look at the summary it will show you which sites are selected and how much time is within the selection.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

OK
Here's my need

I support mutiple customers remotely

I access their Systems via Web browsers

I will be managing 2-3 customers simultaneously

I 'flick between various TABs in firefox and spend 10 minutes working on CustomerA's systems

I flick to another TAB in firefox and that will be online access to customer B's systems

As you indicated - I can see each individual entry in manic time
So the data is ''in your system

I can manually try and add up all the time - but that is very difficult

But, are you truly saying that I cannot export the data or do 'anything' with manictime

I do understand you may not have the 'formats' within Manic time to report

But is there a way I can Export the data and process it with (say) Excwl

I forgot to mention

ANd do the above spanning over many days or weeks

This way I can track the total amount of time I've worked on various clients support issues - as indicated by the 'names in the TABs within firefox - which manic time does a brilliant job of recording :-)

I will be guessing a bit so correct me if I am wrong.

You access with some browser customer A site
Then you access customer B site

Assuming they have different Urls you can easily tag time based on that.
So you could just click Document timeline, check www.customerAsite.com (bottom right) and tag it as 'Customer A, Some activity'.

You can export all the data if you like, look under tools and settings, Export.

It will export mostly the same data you see in details part (bottom left). But it will be based on a timeline, so there will be no correlation between document timeline export and applications timeline export except time.

It is a csv export, you can easily import it to excel and process it there.

OK -
That 'sort of does' most of the job

What would be handy is if the TAG then 'worked across' multiple days

Lets say the Firefox TAB name is www.CustomerXYZB.com

It's a very unique identifier
I can create a tag for all of Fridays activites

It would be nice, that when I view Thursday, Wednesday etc, that the URL and the TAG become associated across Multiple days??

Or

Would advanced search (happy to pay) allow me to do a bulk search the 'text' and then Bulk tag the results
ANd would this then also be exportable to Excel

Kind Regards

PS: Thank you for the very rapid responses

For now there is no bulk tagging. A number of users had the same idea about Advanced search, so we might add it.

We are working on something similar to bulk tagging for the next version, so we can come back to this in a few weeks once the beta is out.
