does this sample app offer the full extent of what can be done with a 3rd party app? If not, is there more detailed documentation or other samples? In particular, I'm interested in adding timeline entries, but would be curious what all your API supports. Thanks for reading!

Could you tell me some more about what you would like to do? Which kind of timeline entries?

We decided we will work on API when somebody (like you know) asks us about it. Otherwise we just add stuff and it never gets used... So please, tell me more and we will try to add it.

Thanks for the quick response!

I'm still learning my way around ManicTime, but I love it! I was contemplating the feasibility of doing some tracking on my Android phone with a custom app, but to do that I would need to add a timeline and add new items to that timeline (I think). It would be helpful to see some examples on adding items and update items to timeline as well as adding/updating tags. Examples that include the structure of the JSON payload would be particularly helpful!

The sample is on github.
You first need to publish timeline, then you can publish the data. There is a button to add sample data so you can see how it works.
I also suggest you open Fiddler to see how it looks on the wire.
