Hi,
Is it possible to import a predefined set of tags?
This would be very useful for managers who want to ensure that all team members use the same (minimal) set or hierarchy of tags.
Cheers,
Stephan

There is no way to do this currently.
I also think it would be a great addition, we'll try to do something about this in future versions.

Was this ever solved for, so that I can directly import a csv or txt file (a list of a couple hundred clients/matters)? It appears that there's such an option with Server, but I'd like to do it on the client side only.

Also, some sort of bulk auto-tag generator would be helpful, so I could associate keywords with each client/matter in that text file, and the import would create both tags, and auto-tags based on such keywords.

You can do this on the server or on the client. You will find it in the Tag editor
http://www.manictime.com...13/55/import-export-tags

You can also import/export of autotags. You will find that in Autotag editor.

Thanks. It seems like both those import functions currently only accept files that have been exported directly from ManicTime.

I'm trying to import a couple hundred clients from a csv file I've exported from a customized outlook task folder I keep. How should I format the csv file into an xml file (i.e., what columns where, and what other columns unique to ManicTime do I need to include?). Same question for the autotag import.

For the tags its very simple. You just need to create a text file, with each tag combinations on its own line. So:

Tag 1, Tag 2
Tag 3, Tag 4

Run the export and take a look at the file.

For the autotags, I doubt you will be able to create it from other sources. It adds a bunch of stuff specific to ManicTime, so I'd recommend that you create autotag timeline and just do it by hand.
