Hi,
I would like to ask You to add new types of documents - new applications.
Now ManicTime detects only web browsers, maybe MS Office and Adobe reader.
But I don't use them, I'm using LibreOffice (OpenOffice) and FoxitReader - that are widely used programms and I think many users will be glad if MT will detect them and add opened files into documents.
If it isn't a big problem, please add this functionality.
Thank You in advance. Best regards, Tom

Foxit reader should work, it doesn't show full path but it should show which doc you were looking at. We'll see what we can do about Libre office

I'm using the latest version 2.1.2.0 and you can see on attached picture, that opened file in foxit reader is not detected as document. Thank you for your time. Best regards, Tomas

the line for Foxit Reader in CustomTitle.txt is incorrect.
The first token should be the exe base name (whatever the exe filename is), but in the existing CustomTitle.txt, it is broken into two tokens: "Foxit Reader".
If the exe is called Foxit.exe, remove the space and the 'Reader' token after 'Foxit'. There should be only a tab between the exe name and the regex.

The original file name is "Foxit Reader.exe"
I tried to rename it to FoxitReader.exe and changed the CustomTitle.txt according to this change.
But it doesn't work, even if I restart manictime.
Anything else??
All documents are detected using this file? Is there some describtion of syntax in this file?
Thank You, Tomas

the syntax is described at the top of the file. It takes the first matching regex "matching group" - the items in parentheses in the expression.
I would try finding a regex testing tool (I use Regex Coach) to see if the entire expression and the necessary subexpression given matches correctly the particular window titles being extracted by ManicTime for that app, and whatever variants you can conjure (if it shows as asterix or brackets for unsaved files, etc). The app may be putting in extra characters in the window title that the fails the match for the given expression.

Funny enough, process name is "Foxit Reader" with space in between. Try using this line. There should be a TAB between Foxit Reader and (, so Foxit Reader[TAB](....
Foxit Reader (.*?) - Foxit Reader$|.*?\[([^\[]*)\]$

I set it to this
Foxit Reader (.*?) Foxit Reader .*?\[([^\[]*)\]$
Both rows using [TAB] between Reader and the rest of line
But if you detect the document using title of application, there can be problem.
Foxit title is
pdf_filename.pdf - Foxit Reader
What should I change now :-)
Thank You, Tom

Sorry, this was badly written on my part. This is what it should look like.
Foxit Reader[TAB](.*?) - Foxit Reader$|.*?\[([^\[]*)\]$
This change should be in v2.2.2 (you can see version info in bottom right corner), if you don't have it click on version info and it will offer to update.

Hi,
is there any news regarding detecting files created and opened in LibreOffice?
Greetings, Lucia

We changed a few things, now libre office will show App name as group in Documents, and filename (not path) as activity in Documents.
It should help a bit.

I need a plugin for Thunderbird. Wehn you read email, Thunderbird doesn't change the title. Is it possible to get the subject and sender of selected email and record them in Documents timeline?

Sorry, I deleted your account. There was again some spam on the forum and I made a mistake.
By phparis: "@admin: Thanks for your answer. When you say "now" you mean in the next version, right? Because in my 2.3.8.0 it does not work for Libreoffice."
Yes, next version, I think beta should be up sometime next week.

What about a Thunderbird plugin?
Also is it possible to have a plugin for Skype to get the nicknames of the people who you're speaking with?
