Auto tagging based on Filename filters

Many design agencies use strict filename conventions to track client/project activity.
Adding a function to auto tag documents to a client or project based on common filename strings would make MT the complete package for me and the majority of agency users.
An example:
A typical job may include the following files:
10245 - PTG A3 poster illustration.ai 10245 - PTG A3 poster main montage.psd 10245 - PTG A3 poster.indd
Where 10245 is the job number and PTG is the client code.
The ability to apply an autotag rule along the lines of:
Tag *10245*.* as ALL>Client PTG>Job Number 10245
AND
Tag *PTG*.* as ALL>Client PTG
Would be incredibly useful.
What is the official thought on this?
Cheers
Paul

We have been working on auto tagging on and off for over a year. With every try we are getting closer, but it is still not good enough. When we will release it, you will be able to do the things you described. For everybody interested in this, here is a link to similar thread
