I have an intermittent series of Application events with the following info:

CashSynchCodeInspection.docx - Microsoft Word 12:51:00 PM 12:51:21 PM 0:00:21
... (various times)



interspersed with others that seemingly look the same:

CashSynchCodeInspection.docx - Microsoft Word 12:49:44 PM 12:51:00 PM 0:01:16
...



however, some number are recorded properly on the document timeline, while others of the above are not.

What causes this differentiation?

It could be that word was not responding when MT tries to check for open file. If this is the case then it should show up in ManicTime.log file at the same times.
