I get the below exception when trying to start the application (it was working prior to today). I've tried reinstalling the app from scratch, removing my data directory and using the client tools to do a repair (which results in the same exception). I'm guessing there's something wrong with my machine (.net install corruption?) rather than the manic time data/install, but figured you might have an idea of what I should try.

Did you maybe restart the computer? This is the first thing I would try. Does it help?

Rebooting didn't help.

When you reboot, and it crashes, does it work if you try to start it manually after it crashes?

Could you check the add remove apps, did you install any apps at the time it stopped working?

Could you send me the log files? You can send them to support@manictime.com

I don't see anything installed around that time, however I probably hadn't rebooted the machine in a few weeks so it could have been a while ago.

Manually starting it still crashes.

I'll forward the logs now.

The issue has been solved, it appears some malware broke the cryptography service which prevented the sql ce libraries being verified. Same issue also broke both Windows Update and Windows Defender.
