This happens on all machines?
The xml you mentioned, you mean the ManicTimeSettings.xml?

Could you send me the dump file? Download this file
http://cdn.manictime.com...anicTime_debug_tools.zip

Then run
ManicTime_debug_tools\registry_settings_for_crash_dumps\EnableLocalDumps.reg

This will save crash data form the apps, the one windows usually sends to Microsoft to your local drive. Dumps will be in
c:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\CrashDumps\

When it crashes please send me the dump file.

Once you are done you can also run the DisableLocalDumps.reg to stop writing crash data to disk.

If you use v2.5, it should work. It is the current version, you can find it in the download page.

A bit of background if anybody else has the same problem.

The problem was in this line of the xml.

< upgrade check="false" / >

The correct line which older clients know how to parse would be:

< upgrade check="false" mode="auto" / >

Mode can either be auto or manual.

Server versions were released between client v2.4 and v2.5. We updated the client, but we did not release it. And we created a bug where it was possible that deployment file wouldn't work with current client version, which happened in your case.

Sorry about that, hope it will work ok from now on.
