It would be great if the manictime server had the capability to host an iCalendar preferably or an RSS feed from a timeline.

Where this feature my tags timeline could be viewed in Google Calandar and to go even further that could be used with zapier to link to other services I implement.

Could you tell me some more about this? Do you want to import tags to iCal or export cal entries to MT (like you can import google cal entries to MT)?

Import to ical.

My specific imagined scenario is the manictime server hosting an ical file and subscribing to it in google calendar: http://goo.gl/OFPvV so that it is easier for my billing guy to look at.

But once MT had this feature I could also use this http://goo.gl/7aQut to automatically combine my tags into Toggl which i use to track my onsite billings from my phone (as there is no mobile/web client for MT).
But the list of other things that could be done would be substantial.

I guess if MT could export to ical and had command line switches I could do the rest myself pretty easily.

I'm not familiar wit zapier, but it seems like an go-between different services? Couldn't you use the web service we already have for this? I mean MTS already exposes services for the data.

A sample project using these services is here
https://github.com/manic...time-server-sampleclient

Does this help?

thanks I noticed the sample client but didn't really look at it as i assumed it would require more free time then I've had lately to write an interface, like with most sample projects. Or is it pretty much ready to go?

Yes zapier is pretty much an API to API data translation interface with a simple friendly Web GUI. The point of referencing it was how it would make it easy for anyone to do advanced service integration with there timeline data once it was in a compatible format.
