Hello,

- I have a database from the old version.
- I downloaded and un-zipped the new USB version.
- Ran ManicTime, and selected the FREE license (no password, no backups, etc)
- ManicTime created the new database in the new "Data" folder
- I closed ManicTime
- Copied the old database in to the new "Data" folder
- Ran ManicTime
- ManicTime asks me for a password to open the database!!

It's an old database, so it didn't even have a password. And I thought that the password feature had been disabled as I chose "Free" license.

How can I import my old database in to the new program (portable version)?

Ideas?

Thanks,

Mickets

One thing we didn't mention in help, you need to run ManicTimeTracker.exe, not ManicTime.exe. ManicTime.exe is just UI, it doesn't track usage nor does it convert the database to the new version. So with USB version always run tracker process.

So try running ManicTimeTracker.exe and it should work, let me know if it doesn't.

It didn't work. Now ManicTime (the new one) crashes whenever I try running it. Both the GUI and the Tracker.

I'll reboot later on just in case and see what happens.
